The class of 2030 has already displayed immense talent. This class of outfielders, specifically, is proving their skill development and showing why they belong on the field at the next level.

Below, Prep Softball takes a look at five outfielders from the high school class of 2030 who are turning heads this fall season.

[player_tooltip player_id='194119' first='Malia' last='Johnson'] is an outfielder for LTG Henderson Buck, one of NorCal's finest club teams and the 2026 PGF national champs. Already sparking recruiting interest this fall, the triple-threat has dynamic skills. In the outfield, Johnson has the ability and determination to get her glove on any ball in her vicinity. Trusting herself and her other outfielders, she is unafraid to lay out for a ball in the gap to prevent a run from scoring in a tight game. Johnson's speed and versatility on both sides of the ball give her the leverage she needs to continue to rise to the top.

Hayden Smith, a freshman at Harris County High School, is having a season to remember. The speedy slapper ranks among the top three on her team in batting average, on-base percentage, and runs batted in, with only seniors ahead of her in each category. Smith, along with her team, is making a postseason run, during which she has scored nine runs in four games. Holding it down defensively, Harris County is allowing an average of fewer than two runs per game, with Smith contributing 17 putouts this season. As the fall season comes to a close, Smith will continue to compete with Athletics Gold Tamborra/Olson, which finished seventh at PGF Nationals. Smith will look to continue her impressive statistics throughout the remainder of her freshman year.

Bailee Texada, an outfielder for Lady Dukes Lamar 18U, is one of the best outfielders in her class. Known for making great plays, she sets herself apart with her speed and strength. No ball is out of Texada's range, thanks to her quick feet and incredible ability to track down balls deep in the outfield. The outfielder also stands out offensively as a righty with a powerful swing. The long ball is already in the freshman's repertoire, but she also has the ability to beat out infield grounders and turn hits into extra bases with her speed and field awareness. Texada has been hard at work this fall, and she appears motivated to improve and is never satisfied with where she is.

A native of Corner, Alabama, Emersyn Haney is fueled by her explosiveness. An outfielder for Birmingham Bolts Premier, the freshman is gearing up for all that is ahead of her. Haney has taken her offseason seriously, spending countless hours perfecting her craft, starting in the weight room. With her strength, Haney can make plays that others can't, as shown by her 43 putouts last season, which are a testament to her explosiveness and arm strength. Haney will only continue to succeed and improve as she develops and matures into the all-around explosive athlete she is becoming.

Charlotte Lewis, an outfielder for the 14U Connecticut Stars, is beginning to show a big jump in her skill set. The freshman is proving herself by developing in multiple aspects of her game. Solid in the outfield, Lewis keeps her feet moving to generate enough power behind her throws. On the other side of the ball, Lewis challenges defenses with her small-ball game. With her ability to place a bunt, slap a single, and hit with the power and speed needed to leg out extra-base hits, Lewis is an all-around asset to her team.
