Late October is a busy time for softball in the Peach State. Not only have many teams begun their journey to Columbus and the Georgia High School Association state championship, but a marquee showcase camp also took place in the Atlanta metropolitan area.

That camp was our inaugural Prep Softball All-Star Showcase. The Browns Mill Recreation Center in southern DeKalb County was the site for Saturday's festivities for what was a clear, but windy, day of softball.

A number of the state's premier prospects were on hand, and they put together performances that were more than worthy of first-team honors. Learn about them below.

Karsyn Plaisance Karsyn Plaisance Karsyn Plaisance 5'8" | 1B/INF Dacula | 2027 #58 Nation GA 's high school career recently came to a close with 7A Dacula, but she powered her Falcons to the team's third consecutive 20-win campaign. She also led Dacula in several statistical categories. Not only is she a perfect fit for third base, but she is also a great middle-of-the-order presence. While many power hitters are prone to striking out, Plaisance displays patience at the plate with her willingness to reach base via the walk. She can now look ahead to her final days of fall ball with Athletics Gold Tamborra.

Riley Rucker Riley Rucker Riley Rucker INF/C Carrollton | 2030 #38 Nation GA is a skilled utility fielder who proudly wears the black and gold colors of a 7A Carrollton team that will seek state glory this week in Columbus. Hustle is a centerpiece of her game, whether she is running the bases or on the field defensively. Even though Rucker has plenty of time to develop before she reaches the college ranks, utility players are always among the most intriguing prospects to coaches at the next level. There was a reason Rucker earned a South Region Top 50 ranking from us last month, and we recently featured her as a 2030 who can impact a game in multiple ways.
