2029 Players Whose Tools Continue To Impress

The 2029 class is full of talented college softball prospects who continue to impress onlookers and college coaches alike on softball fields around the country. And this summer, that talent showed out in big ways at tournaments and showcases across the nation.   Below, Prep Softball highlights five players from the high school graduating class of 2029 whose tools continue to stand out for their impressiveness and promise.    Jaycie Hayes from Nevada certainly has an extensive arsenal. The 2029 right-handed pitcher and outfielder competed in the 2026 PGF Premier Nationals and helped her Las Vegas Blast 2011 squad to an eighth-place finish out of 72 teams. Hayes attends Pahrump Valley and maintains a weighted GPA of 4.18. She also helped her team to a Nevada state championship in the spring. An athletic pitcher who fields her position well, Hayes is the type of athlete who could soon become a household name in college softball.     Kynlee Felder from Texas has all the tools she needs to succeed at the next level of the game. Felder, who is a 2029 catcher and first baseman, represented Region 5 in the USA All-American Games in Oklahoma City this summer. A big hitter with a big arm behind the plate, Felder attends Barbers Hill High School and maintains a 4.1 GPA there. She competes on the club softball circuit for Illusions Gold Elite 14U and has already attended multiple college camps and clinics to aid her in the recruiting process.     Hadley Rogness from Iowa prides herself on her versatility on the softball diamond, which she says makes life easy for coaches who can put her anywhere on the field. The 2029 right-handed pitcher and utility player, who is currently working on improving her strength, stands at 5'5" and is a multi-sport athlete. Rogness lists her secondary position as outfield and competes on the club softball circuit for Aries 16U CE Fire Black. The Southeast Polk High School student-athlete also gets it done in the classroom, where she holds a 4.2 GPA.     Aubrey Mitchell from Wisconsin has a ton of power from the left side of the plate. The 5'11" first baseman and utility player, who also throws with her left hand, is a multi-sport athlete who brings promise and potential to the softball diamond. The 2029 standout has a 3.98 GPA at Winneconne High School and competes at a high level in travel ball with Oshkosh Extreme 14U Lund. With continued growth and skill development, we expect her name to be circled on college coaches' lists.     Scarlett Thompson from Massachusetts is a sneaky-good 2029 right-handed pitcher to watch in the Northeast. The 5'7" hurler competes on the club softball circuit for KP Pride 18U Gold and attends Bishop Feehan High School, where she played varsity softball as a freshman. Boasting a fastball, changeup, and drop curve, she locates her pitches well and gets a ton of swings and misses. Thompson is a prospect who could surprise college coaches and opponents alike with her budding skill set.
