Below, Prep Softball highlights five standouts from the 2029 class who have shown elite speed and base-running instincts, setting themselves apart as future stars to watch.    Maddie Davis is a versatile player for the Georgia Impact Premier '11 team. She exemplifies an outstanding leadoff hitter and game-changer. During travel ball season, she played 68 games and achieved an impressive .515 batting average with a .585 on-base percentage. She recorded 103 hits and successfully stole 37 bases in 38 attempts. Davis is a genuine triple-threat at the plate, with the ability to lay down a bunt, slap, or drive the ball with power, contributing five home runs to her stats. Her ability to read defenses at the plate and on the basepaths is what keeps her standing out on the field.     Ella Carreon is a shortstop for Huntington Beach High School, displaying an exciting blend of speed and power on the field. With an impressive home-to-first time of just 2.7 seconds, she consistently poses a threat to opposing defenses. Her aggressiveness on the basepaths is further highlighted by an outstanding 91.67% success rate in stolen bases. With her speed paired with her ability, Carreon has all the tools to impact the game in multiple ways and is quickly emerging as a top 2029 player.     Jameson Spencer is a left fielder for El Capitan High School and plays travel ball with Team San Diego. She is one of the most dynamic athletes in her class. Over the course of 115 games in both the fall and spring seasons, she achieved an impressive .505 batting average, a .570 on-base percentage, and successfully stole 101 bases in 106 attempts. With a 2.88-second home-to-first time, she consistently proves to be an offensive threat, whether she is bunting, slapping, or hitting away. Spencer is also a multi-sport athlete, continuing to showcase her athleticism. With her speed, versatility, and positive attitude, she's a player to watch closely as she continues her journey.     Macey Saucedo is a true triple-threat player for the Suncats Jimenez 16U Gutierrez team and a standout student at Merced High School. At the plate, she possesses the ability to score in various ways, including by slapping, bunting, and hitting for power. Her quick first step out of the box and skill at creating chaos on the bases make her speed her greatest asset. Saucedo is also versatile on the field, continuing to utilize her athleticism in the outfield and at second base. Macey Saucedo consistently proves herself to be a dynamic, all-around great player who is capable of changing the game in an instant.     Jaida Wheatley is an outfielder in the class of 2029 and a 4.0 student who demonstrates both speed and versatility on the field. Playing for the Beverly Bandits 14U Glass team, she has shown her ability to contribute to her team's offense in various ways, whether by hitting away, slapping, or bunting. This season, she achieved an impressive batting average of .435, with a .473 on-base percentage and a .943 on-base plus slugging mark. She scored 23 runs and had 19 stolen bases in 19 attempts. With her talent for hitting for both contact and power, along with her elite speed on the bases and in the outfield, Jaida is a dynamic player who consistently sets the tone for her team.
