The Atlanta Legacy tournament once again brought together some of the nation’s top club softball programs for a weekend packed with elite competition, standout performances, and championship-caliber softball. With hundreds of players competing across both the showcase and the prestigious Alex Wilcox Invitational, the event served as a proving ground for rising stars and powerhouse squads alike.

Among the deep field, six club teams rose above the rest, and not just with wins, but also with the kind of all-around excellence that turns heads and builds reputations. From dominant pitching staffs to explosive lineups and rock-solid defenses, these teams made their mark in Atlanta and showed why they’re among the best in the country.

Aces Fastpitch-Taylor

Aces Fastpitch-Taylor lived up to their elite reputation at Atlanta Legacy, powering their way to the 18U Invitational championship behind a star-studded lineup loaded with Division 1-level talent. The team was nearly unstoppable at the plate, hitting a scorching .414 with a .510 on-base percentage over the weekend. Just as impressive was their work in the circle, where they posted a dominant 1.23 ERA against top-tier competition. With explosive offense, lockdown pitching, and a roster full of next-level athletes, Aces-Taylor proved why they’re one of the most feared teams in the country.

EC Bullets Schnute/Bilz

EC Bullets Schnute/Bilz put together a dominant and well-rounded performance at Atlanta Legacy, going 6-0-1 to earn a share of the 16U Alex Wilcox Invitational championship with Team NC Bowman. Their offense was steady, batting .315 with 47 hits, 35 runs, and 14 stolen bases. But it was their pitching and defense that truly set them apart, as their staff combined for 40 innings with a 1.57 ERA and held opponents to a .210 batting average. Defensively, they turned an incredible 17 double plays, showcasing sharp instincts and chemistry on the field. EC Bullets Schnute/Bilz proved they’re a complete team built for big moments.

Team NC Bowman

After narrowly missing out on titles at both Scenic City and IDT, Team NC Bowman finally broke through at Atlanta Legacy, capturing a share of the 16U Alex Wilcox Invitational championship alongside EC Bullets Schnute/Bilz. Their journey to the top was a testament to their resilience and consistency, as they battled through a tough bracket to bring home the trophy. With a balanced roster and a hunger to finish what they started earlier in the summer, Team NC Bowman proved they have the talent and toughness to compete, and win, at the highest level.

Lady Dukes Premier 2028 – Lamar/Burden

The Lady Dukes showed championship grit and depth at Atlanta Legacy, capping off an undefeated weekend with a grueling five-game run on Sunday to claim the 14U Invitational title. Their young pitching staff was lights out under pressure, keeping opponents in check throughout bracket play. Meanwhile, their offense exploded when it mattered most, scoring an eye-popping 47 runs on Sunday alone. After earning the top spot in their pool, the Lady Dukes proved they had both the firepower and resilience to finish the job and bring home the trophy.

Southern Steal – Powell

Southern Steal – Powell showcased grit, depth, and endurance at Atlanta Legacy, emerging as bracket champions after an impressive 11-game run that ended with a 10-1 record. Their offense was relentless, racking up 74 hits and a .364 team batting average while outscoring opponents 69-28. In the circle, their pitching staff was equally sharp, striking out 58 batters and issuing just 12 walks over the course of the tournament. With balanced production on both sides of the ball and the stamina to thrive in a long, competitive weekend of play, Southern Steal – Powell proved they’re built to win.

Stars National Scott-GA

Stars National Scott-GA delivered a dominant performance at Atlanta Legacy, going 9-0-1 on the weekend to capture a 16U bracket championship. Their offense was red-hot from start to finish, consistently putting pressure on opposing defenses, while their pitching staff was lights out, keeping runs off the board and momentum on their side all weekend long. The team’s ability to stay locked in through a full slate of competitive games speaks to its depth and discipline. With Nationals in Indiana just around the corner, this championship run was the perfect momentum boost heading into the squad’s final stretch of summer play.
