The Boulder IDT showcased some of the nation’s top talent, and these six club teams truly proved their worth at the tournament. In both the 14U and 16U age groups, these squads excelled, with some making deeper runs in bracket play than others.
However, what really set them apart was their energy, grit, and explosive offenses. Each team listed here demonstrated impressive performances, strong execution, and undeniable chemistry, bringing a high level of determination and consistency to one of the biggest stages in travel softball.
CA BSC Bengals-R (14U)
The CA BSC Bengals-R squad had an impressive performance in Colorado, finishing with a perfect 11-0 record and claiming the 14U division title. The team scored 85 runs while allowing just 17, demonstrating a strong combination of determination, energy, and discipline. Whether they were securing a tight 1-0 victory in the championship game or run-ruling teams in other games against top competition, the Bengals remained focused on every pitch and every inning. Their focus and energy set them apart throughout the week.
TX Hotshots – Naudin/Velazquez (14U)
The TX Hotshots – National/Velazquez team had an outstanding performance throughout the week, finishing with a 7-1 record. They scored a total of 101 runs, averaging in the double digits for almost every game they played in, except for their only loss at Boulder IDT. The team’s offensive power was impressive, consistently getting runners on base and confidently bringing them home. Their pitchers also had a stellar week, allowing only 11 runs across all games they played in Colorado. The Hotshots played with evident energy, demonstrating passion and focus. Their strong offense and pitching were keys to their success.
MO St. Louis Chaos 2010 National – Gill (14U)
The St. Louis Chaos 14U squad delivered an impressive performance in Colorado, finishing in third place overall with 88 hits, 63 runs scored, and 11 home runs. A standout moment was a thrilling four-run rally in the bottom of the last inning to defeat the Ohio Outlaws, securing their spot in the final eight. This team, filled with versatile athletes who are capable of playing multiple positions, including pitching, displayed a selfless attitude and a strong sense of teamwork. Their intensity, work ethic, and passion for the game were evident throughout the week.
NW Bullets Dawson/Muir (16U)
The NW Bullets Dawson/Muir team made a statement at the Boulder IDT tournament, finishing with a 10-2 record and clinching the 16U division title in their first-ever championship appearance at the event. They scored a total of 85 runs while allowing only 39 runs. Their pitchers delivered dominant and composed performances, with clutch hitters stepping up throughout the week and in big moments. What stood out most wasn’t just their talent, but it was also their disciplined approach, high energy, and sharp focus in every game they played. Their strong communication and confidence provided a competitive edge that distinguished them from other squads.
Indiana Magic Moore (16U)
The Indiana Magic Gold 16U Moore team had an outstanding performance in Colorado, finishing with an 8-3-1 record. The team hit a remarkable 28 home runs and scored a total of 73 runs at Boulder IDT. What made their performance even more impressive was their ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations, as many of their games were closely contested, with outcomes decided by just a few runs, including a crucial tie against top-tier competition. This group brought energy, focus, and significant power to the field in Colorado, consistently finding ways to get on base and perform in clutch moments.
Team NC – Bowman (16U)
Team NC – Bowman had an impressive performance at Boulder IDT, finishing with a record of 9-2, which earned them a spot in the tournament’s final four. They scored a total of 86 runs, while allowing only 37, showcasing a powerful offense that included several home runs by numerous players. They did an excellent job getting runners on base and finding ways to drive them in, which was complemented by strong team defense. What stood out the most at the tournament was their ability to support one another, playing with both confidence and pride in Colorado. They take great pride in their third-place finish due to the intense competition they encountered throughout the week.
