How's this for a place to start: Kaylee Hodges has faced 279 batters this season as a sophomore, and she has struck out 200 of them, a whopping 71.7% strikeout rate. And she's done all that while issuing just four walks for an astounding 50-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio. That has resulted in an ERA of 0.17 and just two earned runs allowed in 83 innings, and she is holding opponents to a .062 batting average. Hodges' changeup and rise ball play well together and keep batters guessing. Her velocity recently reached 67.6 miles per hour, and she has good lateral movement on her breaking pitches as well. Hodges is also no slouch with the bat—she has a .406 average and six doubles in 13 games.

Elsa Morrison's numbers at Farragut, an athletics powerhouse just outside of Knoxville, jump off the page, and she is staying in her own backyard for college as a Tennessee commit. Over her last three high school seasons, Morrison has hit .565 with 52 home runs, 127 walks and just seven strikeouts in 389 plate appearances. Her OPS over that time is 2.074. Looking at the film, it becomes easy to see how the Tennessee Gatorade Player of the Year as a sophomore has put up those numbers. Her swing looks almost effortless, and her 5-foot-11 frame allows her to reach pitches in all parts of the zone. Morrison also has a rocket for an arm behind the plate that helps her catch runners trying to steal and pick them off before they can get back to their bases.

An Auburn commit from talent-rich Northern California, Delaney Aumua is capping an excellent high school career with her best season yet as a senior. In just 23 games, Aumua is batting .468 with 18 homers, and she has walked 25 times while striking out only twice for a 2.024 OPS. Her power comes from her upper-body strength, which gives her a swing that explodes through the zone with impressive bat speed. Whether it's turning on pitches over the middle and driving them to the pull side, or extending her arms to reach an outside pitch for opposite-field blasts, Aumua does not have any cold zones, and many opponents have realized they're better off not pitching to her at all.

Marisa Bryson, a Northern California product committed to Stanford, has been a steady performer for three years now at the high school level. In 27 games as a junior, she is hitting .625 with 12 doubles, 10 home runs and 42 runs scored, good for an OPS of 1.788. She hit two grand slams in one game in April, finishing 4-for-5 with 11 RBI. Bryson drives the ball with ease out to the opposite field as a right-handed hitter and is a top-notch defender at shortstop, particularly when it comes to ranging to her backhand side and making the long throw across the diamond to first. Like her cousin, former Red Sox star Dustin Pedroia, Bryson is a slick-fielding middle infielder, and she will be an asset on both sides of the ball for Jessica Allister and the Cardinal.

Aubrey Jones is living proof that superstar talent can be found anywhere. From a town of 4,286 in rural northern Michigan, the Oklahoma State commit still managed to make a name for herself and land at a top-tier college program. She hit 26 home runs as a junior, when she earned Michigan Gatorade Player of the Year honors, and has a .509 batting average through 20 games as a senior with 13 homers, 41 RBI and a 1.954 OPS. Primarily a shortstop, Jones has also excelled in the circle, with a career 1.12 ERA and 227 strikeouts against just 16 walks in 138 innings pitched. She has led her team to back-to-back state championships and should have no trouble finding a role with the Cowgirls.

Addisyn Trackwell, a Louisville commit, has steadily improved throughout her high school career and is batting .564 as a junior. Home run power is not Trackwell's forte, but she has 10 doubles in 19 games this season. With the right pitch, she is capable of driving the ball out of the park to all fields, and she can also surprise the defense with an effective squeeze bunt and catch fielders napping by taking an extra base. A versatile defender, Trackwell is most comfortable at third base, where she has good reflexes and instincts. She can also play the outfield, where she can showcase her range and arm.

Rylie Johnson packs a lot of power into just a 5-foot-3 frame and has been putting up huge numbers at the varsity level since eighth grade. As a senior this spring in 19 games, the LSU signee is hitting .783 with a 2.496 OPS, 13 doubles, 10 home runs, 12 walks and just one strikeout. She also has 24 stolen bases on the season and 99 in 77 career games. Johnson uses an early leg kick to generate all that pop, focusing on driving the ball between the alleys. She is the top player in her class from Virginia, per Prep Softball's rankings, and could soon be hitting bombs on the Bayou.

Kaylee Goodpaster's varsity softball career dates back to sixth grade, and the Florida State commit has kept on getting better with each successive year. She is batting .582 as a junior with 12 doubles, 10 homers and 57 RBI in 27 games to go along with a perfect fielding percentage. Also a 1,000-point scorer in basketball, Goodpaster can drive the ball out of the park to left, right and center, and makes both the routine and highlight plays in the outfield. She has cut down on her strikeouts considerably this season but can also reach pitches out of the strike zone and still make solid contact. A local television station last summer called Goodpaster "The Most Feared Hitter in the Panhandle," and that is a title she could retain once she joins the Seminoles.

The second LSU commit to make our list, Sydnee Williams has faced plenty of quality high school competition in the Phoenix area and has thrived for three years now. She hit .551 as a junior with 46 runs scored, 11 doubles and 10 home runs in 29 games while playing error-free defense in the outfield. Her bat path wastes no movement, with a compact swing that nonetheless gives her all the power she needs. She can pull her hands in to yank an inside pitch out of the park and take pitches on the outer half over the wall the opposite way. Williams also has outstanding instincts on the basepaths, even catching the pitcher and catcher unaware with a steal of home earlier this spring.
