2031 Pitchers Who Could Set The Tone This Fall

The 2031 class has no shortage of talent in the circle. From rising velocity to impressive performances against strong competition, these young arms are already making their mark.   Below, Prep Softball highlights six pitchers to watch from the high school graduating class of 2031 as they look to set the tone this fall.    Brantlynn Palmer is already showing the ability to take over games from the circle. Palmer recently reached the 100-strikeout mark for the year and delivered a no-hitter against River Ridge, striking out 11 batters while allowing just two walks. Coming off this performance, Palmer has already shown flashes of the pitcher she could become as she continues to develop. Her athleticism extends beyond softball; she also plays basketball and is a true two-way player. At the plate, Palmer has home run power that makes her a threat on both sides of the ball.     Mia Teller brings both velocity and variety to the circle, already reaching a personal record of 62 mph. She complements that speed with a deep arsenal that includes a curve, screwball, rise, drop, and changeup, giving her multiple ways to attack hitters. Teller invests considerable time in her development through private pitching and hitting lessons, while also training independently to become stronger and faster. She has also attended college camps, gaining valuable exposure and continuing to challenge herself against high-level competition.     Ivionna Adams has the kind of arm strength that can immediately grab attention in the circle, recently setting a new pitching personal record of 66 mph. The right-hander embraces pressure situations and has shown the ability to compete when the moment gets bigger. Adams is also a strong two-way presence, playing first base and providing a reliable bat with home run power. A multi-sport athlete who also plays volleyball, she continues to develop her game. With her velocity, competitive mindset, and ability to impact a game offensively, Adams has the tools to make some noise.     Kaylia Navarro put together a standout summer as both a pitcher and run producer. The left-hander worked 258 innings in the circle, collecting 259 strikeouts with a 2.69 ERA and 1.27 WHIP. One of her strongest performances came at a PGF tournament, where she tossed a complete game with seven strikeouts, no earned runs, and only two hits allowed. Navarro helped her own cause by going 2-for-2 at the plate in that game, which is something she did consistently throughout the summer. The left-handed hitter finished with a .438 batting average, 1.127 OPS, 126 hits, 90 RBI, and 98 runs scored.     Sara Stevens gives hitters a different look from the left side and has already shown she can succeed when playing up against older competition. Her arsenal features a fastball, changeup, curve, and rise, giving her multiple options to keep hitters off balance. Stevens continues to invest in her development through private pitching instruction, as well as additional pitching and hitting work on her own. Her versatility adds another dimension to her game, as she can contribute at first base and in the outfield while offering a unique offensive profile as a right-handed hitter who can also slap from the left side.     Avery Hinkeldey enters the fall with national recognition already attached to her name after earning the 2026 USSSA 13U National Outstanding Pitcher Award. She has been clocked at 62 mph and continues to develop her game through private instruction, college camps, and competitive tournament play. Hinkeldey is more than just an arm in the circle, bringing two-way ability and a bat that is capable of making an impact offensively. Competing in high-level environments has given Hinkeldey opportunities to grow while building on an already impressive foundation.
