Her season began with an impressive opening week, in which she earned two wins, allowing just two hits over six innings while striking out 11 hitters. She was equally productive at the plate during that stretch, posting a .833 batting average with a .857 on-base percentage and a 2.190 OPS. She added three doubles, four RBIs, and four stolen bases, immediately showing the ability to impact games in multiple ways. Barber continued to build momentum the following week, pitching 18 innings across three games and allowing only two earned runs while recording 32 strikeouts. She later added a home run at the plate, continuing to contribute offensively while anchoring her team in the circle. At that point in the season, she had totaled 28 innings pitched with just two earned runs allowed and 52 strikeouts. She carried that production into the Panama City Beach tournament this past weekend, where she hit two home runs and threw nine scoreless innings with two hits allowed, two walks, and 17 strikeouts while earning two more wins. Her early-season performance reflects both dominance in the circle and the type of all-around production that makes her a standout player to watch in the 2028 class.

Riley Boop has made an immediate impact to start her varsity high school season, helping lead her team to a 6-1 record while establishing herself as a reliable presence in the circle. Through the early part of the season, she has logged 29 innings with 52 strikeouts and a 0.48 ERA, while allowing opposing hitters to bat just .148 against her. She has also shown solid command, issuing only 10 walks across those appearances. Her ability to consistently limit baserunners while generating strikeouts has played a key role in her team's strong start. Away from the field, Boop continues to demonstrate the discipline and work ethic that translate to success in the circle. She is a member of the National Honor Society and also competes in weightlifting, recently setting a new personal record at regionals with a 105-pound clean and jerk. During the offseason she invested time into developing her game by attending several college camps, gaining additional experience and exposure while continuing to refine her skills. Her combination of high performance in the circle, commitment to development, and a strong academic profile makes her one of the emerging aces to watch in the 2028 class.

Hannah Jones has opened the season showing the type of movement and pitch mix that makes her difficult for opposing hitters to solve. A right-handed pitcher who also contributes at first base, Jones relies on elite movement and a well-developed off-speed pitch to keep hitters off balance throughout her outings. She began her season with a complete-game performance, pitching all seven innings while allowing seven hits and two runs. In that outing she struck out nine and walked two, setting the tone for a strong early stretch in the circle. Jones continued to build momentum over the following weeks. During a tournament weekend, she logged 14 innings in the circle and recorded 26 strikeouts, demonstrating her ability to work deep into games while maintaining swing and miss stuff. By the end of February, she added another 11 innings with 21 strikeouts, continuing to produce at a high level. Off the field, Jones carries a 4.0 GPA, reflecting the same level of focus and discipline in the classroom that she brings to her development as a pitcher.

Miley "MK" McMullan continues to play a key role for one of the top high school programs in the nation, helping lead her team to back-to-back state championships. Pitching in a highly-competitive environment, McMullan has shown the ability to step into big moments and contribute to a variety of roles in the circle. She carries a 4.3 GPA in the classroom and has consistently proven herself as a dependable arm on a roster filled with talent. Her performance at the St. James Trojan Invitational highlighted that reliability. As her team went undefeated with a 4-0 record over the weekend, McMullan appeared in all four games either as a starter or in relief. Across 13 innings, she did not allow an earned run, striking out 22 while issuing just three walks and surrendering only three hits. Her ability to handle multiple appearances while maintaining command and limiting baserunners played an important role in her team's success during the tournament.

Tatum Wolff has continued to establish herself as one of the notable pitchers in the 2028 class from California. A right-handed pitcher with a 3.8 GPA, Wolff has already received recognition as one of the top right-handed pitchers in her class in the state. Her combination of ability in the circle and production at the plate has allowed her to impact games in multiple ways early in the season. Her performance at the Redlands Tournament highlighted that versatility. Wolff was dominant both offensively and in the circle, batting .818 during the event while recording a 0.00 ERA. In the circle, she struck out 13 hitters, while at the plate, she collected four doubles, four singles, and a home run. Her ability to contribute on offense, while also controlling games in the circle, reflects the well-rounded skill set that continues to make her a player to watch in the 2028 class.
