Zoe Velazquez Zoe Velazquez RHP St. Cloud | 2030 FL may call Florida home, but she plays travel ball for a Peach State–based travel team Georgia Impact Premier 11 Cleghorn. She sustained an injury back in May and recently returned to the diamond with her new team, for whom she toes the rubber. And this is not the first time she has played for a Georgia-based travel team. Velazquez previously wore the uniform of Atlanta Vipers 2011 Murphy. The rising star from St. Cloud was named the MVP of the USSSA All-American Games in back-to-back years, and fanned 289 batters during the spring and summer of the last calendar year. We at Prep Softball profiled her recently as a pitcher with poise beyond her years, and it is safe to say her name will continue to be mentioned as her playing career blossoms. 

Zoe Velazquez was an integral part of Georgia Impact’s performance at the Show Me the Money tournament, pitching 5.1 shutout innings in a win over Team NC. Velazquez pitched three innings against a tough Athletics Gold lineup in Clearwater and let up just one run after pitching earlier that day. In that same event, she also threw a four-inning shutout against Texas Glory and allowed one earned run in a win over the Atlanta Vipers. Velazquez was invited to Georgia’s camp in January.
