At the Champions Elite Showcase and Veterans Showcase, Blane combined for a .579 average and 1.389 OPS. In Clearwater at the Fall Classic, Blane allowed two earned runs in 17 innings of work and went 3-for-3 at the plate in the championship game against the Birmingham Thunderbolts. Blane also attended camp at Auburn over the summer.
