Blue | 2029 ME played at both the 14U and 16U levels last summer with the Maine Badgers and batted .422 in 43 games, scoring 48 runs while drawing 25 walks against just 15 strikeouts. She also compiled a 19-2 record in the pitcher’s circle with two saves, striking out 115 batters while walking just 34 in 110 2/3 innings. Quimby offers defensive versatility, playing shortstop and left field when she’s not pitching, and she fields her position well in the circle, reacting quickly to hard-hit liners back at her. A heads-up baserunner as well, she scored all the way from second base on a wild pitch over the summer, beating the return throw home after the catcher’s initial toss to the plate got away from the pitcher. Quimby is equally talented on the soccer field, earning first-team all-conference honors as a freshman last fall.
