MacKenzie DeLoach was one of the prospects on hand at the All-Star Showcase whose school ball team is in the throes of a playoff run. She has gained plenty of valuable—and productive—experience in the circle, but lately her bread and butter has been what she accomplishes at the plate. DeLoach also knows that playing at first base means utilizing her length to prevent potential wild throws from sailing past her. With Showcase weekend in the rearview mirror, DeLoach’s attention now turns to Columbus, as her Lambert team is one of the remaining eight 7A squads vying for a state championship.
