About Mabel

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Defense-first shortstop with advanced glove work and footwork, a quick release, and a strong, accurate arm. I take pride in consistency, game awareness, and setting the tempo on the infield. I bring confidence at the plate with consistent contact and power that continues to develop.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Confident, resilient, and focused. I stay even-keeled, compete every pitch, and genuinely love playing the game.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

As a freshman, I am learning how to balance academics, athletics, and extracurricular opportunities. My current focus is on high-level softball development, with plans to become involved in additional clubs and organizations that interest me.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through softball, I’ve developed strong teamwork, communication, and accountability. As a middle infielder, I take pride in supporting my teammates, staying composed, and leading through effort, preparation, and consistency.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I haven’t faced any significant challenges that I haven’t been able to overcome. I approach challenges with a positive mindset and focus on what they teach me and how they make me better.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college with a strong, competitive softball program that values player development and academics. I’m interested in pursuing sports medicine and want a school that offers strong academic opportunities. Being close to home is a plus, but I’m open to the best overall fit.

Mabel Jordan out of Wisconsin is a 2029 prospect to keep an eye on this summer. The middle infielder and utility player plays school ball for Monticello/New Glarus and travel ball for Rock River Stix at the 16U level. She is driven to compete, learn, and grow her game, and calls herself a “defense-first shortstop with advanced glove work and footwork, a quick release, and a strong, accurate arm.” She is also consistent at the plate with confidence and developing power. Jordan is certainly a player to watch this summer and beyond.
