About Laura

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Being the best teammate and hardest worker on the field is what I always strive to be. I am quick with a high softball IQ. Communication on the field is a high priority of mine.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I enjoy being a leader on and off the field. I focus on staying disciplined with consistent hard work to be a great athlete, player and teammate.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

SGA Class President Freshman, Sophomore & upcoming Junior year. Inducted into the National Honor Society Peer helper through 2024-2026 Key Club Member 2024-2026 Junior Leadership 2025-2026 Awarded MAKO Grit award 2 yrs in a row Awarded Leadership & Student Government Award this year Student of the Month April 2024

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have great leadership skills because I love to represent, plan, and serve. I have served as SGA Class President for the last two years & recently re-elected to serve my upcoming Junior year. I have served as a “Big Sis” this year to two Elementary School softball girls. I volunteer in a multiple disabilities unit at a nearby Elementary School where I love working with the kids.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I did have a few mental challenges this season. My Nana passed away and my dad had some health issues. I am staying focused and dedicated to reaching my dream of playing college softball.

What type of college are you looking for?

A college where I can learn to be successful on and off the field. A college that has a great culture in softball and on campus.
