Halfway through the season, Gianna Ostrander already has twice the number of hits she had as a freshman, twice the number of runs scored, over 10 times the number of RBIs, and three times the number of triples and home runs. It is safe to say that something has clicked. She has a .444 batting average as of this writing, has struck out only once in 36 at-bats, and leads the Hastings Tigers in multiple offensive categories. If that’s not enough, she also has two wins in the circle and a solid 3.28 ERA with five strikeouts over 10 innings pitched. The work that she put in during the offseason has clearly paid off.
