About Ella

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

As a multi-sport athlete I think my playing style applies across the board - go hard and have fun.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’ve been told by my coaches that I’m a quiet leader. I’ve always tried to be a good teammate because on the field or the court we’re a family. We need to trust and support each other. Im also the first one to try to make everyone laugh.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’ve been on the honor roll every marking period since I started 6th grade. 9 down, 3 more to go. I was also chosen as a peer mentor.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I think one of the most important qualities I’ve developed is my ability to leave everything on the field. To learn from my mistakes, but also let them go and move on. I’ve been told by coaches that I’m a natural leader, I’m still working on owning that roll.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I love the constant challenges in softball, every at-bat forces me to adjust to a new pitcher on the fly. That’s what makes it fun. Same with basketball or as a soccer goalie, each opponent is a new challenge. The biggest challenge? Balancing sports and school.

What type of college are you looking for?

Honestly, I don’t know yet. In terms of softball I want to be part of a team that feels like family.

A true commander behind the plate, she leads her team with confidence and a relentless drive to win. Giambrone closed her fall season on a high note, batting .540 in 122 plate appearances with a .566 OBP, 1.362 OPS, and .796 SLG. She collected 61 hits—including 41 singles, 13 doubles, five triples, and two home runs—and produced 52 RBIs, 21 runs, and eight walks. Her disciplined approach and consistent hard contact are backed by an exit velocity up to 74 mph, keeping defenses on their toes every time she steps in the box. Behind the plate, she is equally dominant, posting a .977 fielding percentage with only four errors on 176 total chances.
