About Blake

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am calculated and consider myself a smart base runner but aggressive.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am upbeat and a caring teammate. I have a competitive mindset.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have volunteered for "EDGE" Church Youth Group Volunteer at my church. I also have helped with various North Allegheny HS Softball Camps for younger age girls. Additionally, I have volunteered for "Just for Girls" Camps. These opportunities have taught me patience, leadership, and a sense of giving back to my community.

What type of college are you looking for?

Looking for schools in the south that are more in the country than a city. Somewhere that I can walk to my classes and enjoy the warm weather and nature

A versatile player who has already garnered college attention, Blake Hornyak is drawing more eyes this year. In her freshman high school season for North Allegheny, Hornyak hit .358 and earned a .452 on-base percentage, leading her squad in walks during the year. Prior to returning to Team Pennsylvania for the summer, Hornyak spent a weekend with VA Glory, with whom she hit .667 with two stolen bases at the PGF Memorial Invitational. Hornyak attended camp at Alabama and James Madison in the winter.
