About Avery

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I take pride in having a very high softball IQ which helps me anticipate situations more than just reacting to what’s happening.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I want to lead and play with elite E.F.F.F.O.R.T. Every time I show up to the field I bring a lot of Enthusiasm. I make sure I stay Focused, I’m Fast and hustling, and I have Fun. Softball is a game of many Opportunities, and I want to make the most of them, but if I don’t, I need to be Resilient and get the next one. Lastly, with a team first mentality only Together we can reach our goals!

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Youth Church/Bible Group, Art Fair Submissions

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Every team I play on, I find ways to include everyone to help them feel that they are a special part of the team. Everyone is on the team for a reason and they can make an impact. Keeping them engaged and ready for the moment is important.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Moving from California to Minnesota in 2024 was really hard. Leaving all the friends and teammates I had made for the past 8 years was very tough! But trusting in my Faith and Family, we were able to move, I found another great team with the Beverly Bandits and made Varsity as an 8th grade while making a whole bunch of new great friends. Trusting and Believing is real!

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that really wants me to be there as much as I want to be there. If something unfortunate were to happen to my health and I wasn’t able to play softball anymore, is that the school I would still want to attend?
