About Amaya

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play with God in my heart, everything is for Him. I would describe my gameplay style as aggressive, competitive and gritty. I play for my teammates, working together to make each other better and being accountable.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a very faith driven athlete. I love to enjoy this game and those I share it with! I always tell myself mentally that God is in control, and with total effort on my end, anything is possible. I control the controllable, and that’s just myself. I always remember to cherish every moment on the field and have fun, this time is precious and a blessing.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have received two BARC out awards from my high school for behavior, achievement, readiness and community.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I feel that I have learned how to be an effective leader. I feel confident in taking charge on the field when things get intense, helping to reassure and calm everyone, get our focus back on and doing it all with respect.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I would say the most significant challenge I had has been dealing with confidence . I hit some struggles this past summer and I started to doubt myself in all aspects. I am still working through it all but my faith has helped me through it so much.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking to play at a school that has a positive family like culture. I want to be part of a team that is there for one another with a bigger purpose.

Amaya Sigala Amaya Sigala Amaya Sigala INF/1B Oak Hills | 2027 #99 Nation CA hit a home run in her first at-bat of the high school season, and it has been all uphill for the 2027 prospect since then. In her first six games played for Oak Hills this year, Sigala is hitting .529, scoring 10 runs and driving seven in. She has already gone for a pair of three-hit games, including reaching base in all five plate appearances in a win over Summit. Her high school performance carries over from her club season with Beverly Bandits, with whom she excelled at the plate. Sigala is a name to watch as the year continues to play out.
