Continuing the theme of players staying close to home for college, Bri Alejandre, from Los Angeles County, has signed with powerhouse UCLA. In 48 games between the last two years, she batted .500 with a .936 slugging percentage, 21 doubles, 13 homers and 70 runs scored. She did not strike out a single time as a senior and had 32 stolen bases. She hits the ball with great backspin, allowing her line drives to often carry all the way over the fence, and she can do damage even on pitches out of the strike zone. Defensively, she has a quick pivot when turning double plays at shortstop, and she also has good range and adjusts well to bad hops.
