What Does Your Softball Position Say About Your Personality?
Oftentimes, the positions softball players play on the field reflect their personalities off of it. This isn’t always the case, however, but there are typically some consistencies between the character traits of a player and the characteristics of the position or positions she plays on the diamond.
See below for the personality qualities that are often reflected at each position on the softball field to see if they reflect who you are.
Pitcher
You are a go-getter. You want the ball in your hand because you want to be the one who changes the game. You are this way in your life off the field, too. You take charge in the classroom, with group projects, with your friends and family, and with whatever needs to get done. Look out, world, because you are going to do big things.
Catcher
You are a leader and your voice is a powerful one. Universally respected by the people who know you, you do the dirty work that helps things stay on course in your life and the lives of those around you. Your presence is felt wherever you go and in whatever you do, and this makes you irreplaceable in all the different parts of your existence.
First Baseman
You are dependable. Whether it’s by saving an errant throw from an infielder or by helping a friend or family member in need, you are always there for your people. As a result, you are the teddy bear of your friend group and loved deeply by those who know you.
Middle Infielder
You are confident. As an all-around athlete, you could excel at most sports if you tried to play them, but you chose softball as your main sport because it made a mark on your heart from the time you were a little girl. Your teammates are often in awe of you, and they trust that you will come through for them. And you typically do, since your confidence is unbreakable, even in the biggest moments.
Third Baseman
You are a fiery force on and off the field, and you motivate your teammates just by being who you are. You are the person your teammates—and even your friends and family members—look to when they need a shot in the arm, so to speak. As a result, your energy often influences the energy of others, both on and off the softball field.
Center Fielder
You bring the sunshine and fun wherever you go. And you are probably always smiling, too. Along with being a great athlete and fast runner on the field, your contagious energy makes others drawn to you off of it. Consequentially, you have a lot of friends who love being around you and see you as a positive person who always makes their days better when they see or talk to you.
Corner Outfielder
You are an unsung hero in many different parts of your life. You may not always have the most glamorous roles and responsibilities on and off the field, but you do your job and you do it well. Thus, you are an essential part of every operation you take part in, even if credit doesn’t always get thrown your way.
Note: This post is written in good fun. Anyone is capable of playing and excelling at any position on the softball field, and these attributes are not always true of every player who plays a particular position or positions.
