The Boulder IDT tournament consistently showcases top talent, and this year, several athletes from the 2028 class proved they are ready for the spotlight. These 10 players not only delivered outstanding performances, but also exhibited clutch skills and strong leadership throughout the week in Colorado.   They brought energy, confidence, and game-changing plays in various aspects of the game, whether it was power at the plate, dominance in the pitching circle, or smooth defense up the middle.   This group of players certainly made their presence felt in a significant way at the 2025 Boulder IDT tournament.    Olivia Alvey is an exceptional middle infielder and outfielder for the Southern Force 16U National team. Alvey is known for her energy, leadership skills, and impressive performance in every game she plays in. She has a confident and outgoing presence both on the field and in the dugout. Although Alvey has a small stature, she can hit for power and apply pressure on defenses with her speed, which she demonstrated in Colorado with a three-run home run. With excellent range in the middle infield and a high softball IQ, she makes a significant impact on the field.     Megan Wrigley, a right-handed pitcher and third baseman for the Atlanta Vipers Gold '09 Crenshaw team, commands the field with confidence. In Colorado, she excelled with a 2-0 record in the circle, seven strikeouts, and a 2.33 ERA. Not only does she excel in the circle, but also at the plate. She continues to showcase her power with a hot bat, finding ways to score her teammates. Megan Wrigley is a true two-way player who is ready to continue her success for the rest of the summer.     Abby Orsi is an impressive middle infielder for the Ohio Outlaws '09 National Wolff/Leggins team. She is known for her great speed and smooth glove work, particularly her backhand. In Colorado, she continued to showcase both her speed and defensive abilities. At the plate, Orsi is a slapper who poses a threat to all defenses. Whether she is laying down a bunt, executing a soft slap, or utilizing a power slap, she consistently finds a way to work her counts with confidence. Abby Orsi simply makes things happen at the plate and uses her speed to make her a tough out.     Ali Evans is a left-handed pitcher and outfielder for the NW Bullets 16U Dawson team who consistently impresses with her performances on the field. As a 2028 athlete, she showcases remarkable composure while pitching. Evans skillfully mixes her pitches and speeds to keep batters off balance. Additionally, her exceptional softball IQ enhances her effectiveness as a leader. With a strong focus on the game and impressive determination, Evans is an athlete to watch as she continues to mature. Many Division I schools are keeping an eye on her.     Mylah Burrowes is a corner infielder who brings a strong and athletic presence to the field. She fields her position with confidence and ease, demonstrating solid range and dependable hands, whether she is at first or third base. At the plate, Burrowes showcases real power, highlighted by a couple of doubles at Boulder IDT, and she continues to be a consistent offensive threat. Her work ethic, positive attitude, and drive for improvement make her a standout both on and off the field.     Jiselle Singh may be new to the Rhode Island Thunder program, but she is already making a significant impact on the field. She dedicated a lot of effort during the winter to improving and returned this summer focused and ready to compete, as witnessed at Boulder IDT. Despite her small stature, she hits the ball with great power, showcasing several standout doubles. Defensively, she excels at second base, demonstrating her athleticism, quick instincts, and impressive glove work. Jiselle Singh is an athlete you need to keep an eye on.     Joselyn Bermudez is a right-handed pitcher who leads by example with her quiet confidence and strong work ethic. She is a proud member of the PA Chaos 14U National team. In the circle, she consistently throws 63-64 mph with clean mechanics and sharp spin. Although she may not be a flashy player, she is always dependable, showing up ready to compete and fulfill her role on the team. At the plate, she exhibits strong confidence and powerful swings as she continues to develop into a dependable two-way player.     Eliana Corona is a catcher known for her strong arm, quick release, and keen instincts that keep runners in check. She finds the perfect time to pick runners off when they are least expecting it. Offensively, Corona showcases a powerful and consistent bat, excelling in crucial moments for her BSC Bengals team. When she's not behind the plate, you may find her in the outfield, demonstrating good range and athleticism. With her high softball IQ and strong leadership skills, Eliana Corona is a player you want anchoring your defense.     Kylen Knight is a third baseman for the St. Louis Chaos 14U Gill team who is known for her consistency. Batting in the clean-up spot, she is a constant threat to drive the ball, whether it's a double in the gap or a home run. And she is someone you want coming up with runners on base to drive in, which she did a lot at Boulder IDT. Defensively, Knight is the Chaos's everyday third baseman, allowing her to showcase her reliability and vocal leadership, as she commands the infield. She is the kind of player any team would want at the hot corner.     Zoey Woodruff is a shortstop and outfielder for Team NC - Bowman, which finished third at Boulder IDT. Whether she plays shortstop or center field, she makes a significant impact on both offense and defense. In 11 games, she achieved a .481 batting average, hitting two home runs and driving in 12 runs. Her swing is smooth and allows her to get to any pitch and drive it hard. Beyond her impressive statistics, Woodruff brings excellent leadership and energy to everything she does. Her elite athleticism shines through both offensively and defensively.
