With 2026 being an unprecedented year of power hitting in college softball, coaches are looking to add players with pop in their bats to future recruiting classes. Current rising high school sophomores are becoming more powerful than ever and are gaining recruiting attention because of it.

Below, Prep Softball highlights five players from the class of 2029 who have consistent home-run hitting ability.

After a great start to her high school career, [player_tooltip player_id='159158' first='Maddison' last='Campos']' stock is rapidly rising. Campos hit two home runs during her freshman varsity season, hitting .373 in the process during her 38-game school campaign that saw Dobie reach the postseason and win an area championship. She drove in three runs during the area championship series, going 3-for-4 in the winner-take-all game three. In her first summer club tournament, Campos went back to her power and hit four home runs across a five-game event, going 6-for-12 at the plate over the weekend. Campos attended camp at Texas during the offseason and recently attended camp at Nicholls.

[player_tooltip player_id='159147' first='Clara' last='Becknauld'] always has the ability to punish any opposing pitcher she faces, no matter the situation. During her freshman season at McGregor, Becknauld hit .406 with three home runs and 14 total extra-base hits, driving 39 runners home across the 31-game season. In addition to her power, Becknauld also showed great discipline at the place, striking out just nine times all season. She also stole seven bases during the campaign. Becknauld is a two-sport athlete who also played volleyball at the varsity level as a high school freshman.

Adalyn Graf's power has been harnessed this high school season. Graf hit a team-high five home runs in her high school regular season for St. Joseph, while averaging .386 and driving in 30 runs. She was an All-Conference Honorable Mention selection, and helped lead her team to a playoff spot during the CIAC's postseason in June. Ahead of the high school season, Graf attended Boston College's camp and will look to have a strong showing for the RI Thunder during the summer and fall seasons.

Calee Guin brings both a powerful bat and all-around skill to any lineup she is in. At Corner in 2026, Guin hit six home runs and crossed the plate 67 total times, driving in 30 runs and stealing 43 bases during a campaign in which her team reached the postseason. She hit .462 during the area tournament with a home run, helping her team advance. At regionals, Guin performed best when the pressure was on. She hit .538 with a 1.187 OPS during the most important time of the year. Guin attended camp at LSU with her Birmingham Thunderbolts team in April and is on the radar of plenty of college coaching staffs.

[player_tooltip player_id='159140' first='Kendyl' last='Braddick']'s bat shows up when it counts. For Klien Collins this spring, Braddick averaged .386 and hit four home runs, including going deep in each of her final two games of the season. In December, Braddick attended USA Softball's national selection event and earned a spot on the legacy team representing Region 5. She returns to Texas Blaze United for the summer season and looks to continue her positive momentum.
