2032 Names Starting To Stand Out This Fall

Although members of the 2032 class may still be several years away from making their names known on the college softball stage, some players are already standing out at the youth level.

Below, Prep Softball highlights five players from the high school class of 2032 whose names are starting to stand out this fall.

Representing the Lady Dukes travel softball organization this fall season, Lizzy Hearn uses her bat to help bring down any opponent her team faces. She started the campaign by helping the Lady Dukes to a tournament championship in August. During the event, she hit .600 at the plate with a .900 slugging percentage and six runs batted in. While playing shortstop in September at the PGF Super Select Fall Championship, she helped turn three double plays and did not commit an error over the weekend, as her team took second place. After a season in which her squad won two tournament titles, Hearn is used to winning and will draw on that example throughout the remainder of her youth playing career.

Gianna Losacco is excelling both at the plate and behind the plate this fall season. Playing in the 14U division at the Red Raiders PGF Scarecrow Slam this month, Losacco hit .471 across 17 at-bats with four runs batted in to help her team finish in second place at the event. She also caught 30 innings for the team. Earlier in the month at the Sparks Chicago Classic, Losacco hit .500 en route to another top-two team finish. Losacco is providing ample production for her squad both offensively and defensively this fall season.

Mildred Rosario shuts down opponents with her performance in the circle. At the end of September in the USFA Softball Stampede, Rosario put in six innings of work and struck out 12 opposing batters, allowing just three hits. Her D1Vision team lost in an international tiebreaker, and the close loss will likely fuel them as they move forward. Rosario is also beginning school practice with North Augusta as she prepares to help her high school team as a seventh-grade player.

Paityn Thompson excels defensively for her Lady Dukes team behind the dish and has helped them achieve several strong finishes this fall. She caught for them at the PGF Super Select Fall Championship, where the team finished in second place. Earlier this month, she also helped her squad to a runner-up finish at a PGF event. Thompson's consistency makes her a key part of any strong defense.

Monroe Brown has been part of some great team performances this fall season. With her Houston Angels squad, she contributed to a lineup that won a late September tournament title, as she drove in a run in the championship game against Bombers Gold. She also scored two runs in an earlier contest and stole three bases while catching all five games on the weekend. Brown is surrounded by winners, and she will likely draw from that strong example throughout the remainder of her youth playing career.
