About Finley

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style is competitive, focused, and high-energy. I take pride in working with purpose in everything I do, especially in the circle. As a pitcher, I focus on mixing speeds, hitting my spots, and competing every pitch. I stay calm under pressure and love being in big moments. I play the game aggressively but smart, with strong fundamentals and a team-first mindset.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My personality is driven, coachable, and positive. I’m competitive but stay calm under pressure and focused on getting better. I lead by example, bring good energy, and value being a great teammate on and off the field.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Jefferson Middle School IMPACT Award 6th and 7th grades CHAMPS Student of the year, 5th Grade The Jefferson Church, Middle School Peer Mentor

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am part of the Jefferson Middle School Leadership Club which is a teacher appointed club that works on developing leadership skills while serving the school and local community. I'm a captain of the basketball team for our 8th Grade Season. I also not only volunteer with my church Youth programs, but I also volunteer to help work with younger softball athletes to help them improve their skills.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

As I have faced some adversity in life, I focus on my relationship with God which allows me to push forward not focusing on any negativity and pursuing positivity.

What type of college are you looking for?

A school that is supportive to student athletes. Faith is important to me and I am seeking a program that has that as a core value.
