About Jillian

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

High energy and focused pitcher utility. Commanding multiple pitches with a high strike %, Jillian is relied upon in high impact games. She is considered a reliable bracket pitcher with high mound IQ. If there is a fellow pitcher in trouble and bases are loaded and need an out, she can come in and perform. Most hits are weak hits at 80%. She is used in win or go home games and for save or closing.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

At a young age I have been watching college softball and pitchers to learn about game time strategy. I can call my own pitches based on the type of hitter and where they are in the box. I watch teams to scout their plate approach. I have a team first mentality and try to stay mentally focused to be ready to pitch/play when called upon. Hype player.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am an officer for the JHS Miracle Club raising money for special needs and under privileged.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I volunteer in the Miracle Club. I was also a Middle School softball team captain. I work really hard at trying create unity in all community events and volunteer items. I lead by example grabbing buckets and helping clean up after practices and games. Last to leave the dugout helping catchers get their gear together.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Until 20026, I had never had a homerun hit against me. In a pool game I had 3 hit on me all on change ups. I had not ever faced this team before, so I knew nothing about them. My spin was also not working like it should. I stayed out there as long as I was needed and did not get rattled. I know as long as I am on the mound, I have a job to do. Once pulled, I played 1st.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that has my academic program, and where I can make an impact on the mound, in the field, and at the plate. I am a speedy contact hitter and show grit on defense at the corners and outfield. I would be happy to play at any level in college. I am planning to study exercise science or sports medicine.
