Shelbi Alphonso’s speed makes her a tough out at the plate and a difference-maker in center field. The 2027 standout slapper has consistently hit .500, using her short game and speed to keep defenses working. She uses the ground well and does a good job placing the ball. That same speed allows her to cover plenty of ground in the outfield and track down balls in the gaps. Alphonso has played travel ball with LA Voodoo since she was 9 and has continued to grow within the organization. She also earned All-State honors this year after another strong season at Mount Carmel Academy. Whether she’s at the plate or in center field, Alphonso’s speed is always a factor.
