2029 Hitters Who Are Heating Up This Fall

Whether it is in fall club softball or high school ball in the states where the season occurs in the fall, sophomores around the country are establishing themselves as names to watch.    Below, Prep Softball highlights five hitters from the high school graduating class of 2029 who are heating up this fall.    Following a 2025 fall campaign in which she batted .549, Haisley Elliott has improved thus far in 2026, posting a .694 average through 21 games. Her 5A Eaglecrest team has benefited mightily from Elliott's bat. The Raptors are 16-5 through 21 games. Elliott leads the team in many categories, including on-base percentage, runs scored, triples, and stolen bases. Elliott has also come through for her team in the circle as evidenced by when she tossed a 13-strikeout perfect game late last month in an 8-0 win over region rival 5A Cherry Creek. When the fall campaign with Eaglecrest concludes, Elliott will resume travel ball play with Colorado Stars Glaza.     Preslee Long has maintained a highly active athletic schedule throughout her youth playing career, which has also included basketball, track, and cheer. The Huskies of 2A Pawhuska compiled 23 wins throughout their 2026 fall season in large part thanks to Long's bat. Long ranked fourth on the team in batting average at .358 and second among Huskies in home runs with seven and RBIs with 34. She also has 10 doubles on the season. Even though Pawhuska was on the wrong end of a pair of super regional losses to Pocola, Long helped her team with three hits, including a home run.     Reclassification has done wonders for Nyla Denbow and her Southwest DeKalb team. Moving up from 4A to 5A, the Panthers enjoyed a 20-2 record as well as going a perfect 12-for-12 against region foes en route to a 5-AAAAA championship, the first in Southwest DeKalb history. Her solid .692 average has her ranked third on the team, and she has also delivered five home runs (five of her 33 runs scored) plus eight doubles and two triples. The Impact Gold Atlanta product has made her presence known throughout the regular season, and Southwest DeKalb is hoping for more of the same as the Panthers await the 5A tournament.     Rylee Hayduk has given her athletic attention to soccer and softball over the years. She plays for a Gretna East team that concluded its regular season with a 22-4 record. The school itself only opened its doors this decade. Hayduk has arguably been the toughest out for this year's Griffins, as her team-leading .486 average indicates, along with her seven home runs, 35 RBIs, eight doubles, and .889 slugging percentage. Her bat helped Gretna East earn the top seed in the B-2 District en route to hosting a first-round playoff game. In the Griffins' regular-season finale—a 10-0 shutout of Mercy—Hayduk delivered two singles, two runs scored, and one RBI.     The 2026 regular season will soon come to a close for Seckman, and it will turn out to be a stellar one for Milah Manning, the Jaguars' middle infielder and left fielder. Manning plays her travel ball with STL Naturals 15U. She is among the team's leaders in hits, home runs, and stolen bases. She has also helped Seckman's cause all season with 17 RBIs, six doubles, and a triple. Manning had a big day by virtue of clutch hits in a 12-0 shutout over Oakville. She had a four-RBI day, which included a home run and a double, plus two runs scored. Manning also came through with another double and two more runs scored, which helped the Jaguars earn a 10-5 victory over Rockwood Summit.
