2032 Hitters Who Could Turn Heads This Fall

The class of 2032 is packed with dynamic offensive weapons who are ready to take center stage. They're playing well beyond their years and are capable of turning games upside down with a single swing. Below, Prep Softball highlights five prospects from the high school graduating class of 2032 who are sure to turn heads and dominate this fall. Addy Edwards should be put on a short list of line-drive threats to watch closely over the coming months, as she proved to have consistent barrel control and power for her class this summer. She hasn't had to sacrifice plate discipline to generate such a powerful swing, and that could partially be due to her being a pitcher and having an eye for balls and strikes from that point of view. Edwards has shown a consistent and energized work ethic by attending camps and using that knowledge to put the ball in play to all fields, making her a defense's nightmare. Brooklyn Coons is a rising leader in the 2032 class behind the dish, but her consistency at the plate deserves to be put on notice. Her combination of consistent barrel contact and the ability to drive the ball from foul line to foul line forces any opponent to plan accordingly when she's at the plate. This summer, she came up with clutch hits for her team on several occasions, proving no moment was too big for her. While Coons already has displayed elite barrel control for the 2032 class, expect her slugging numbers to explode as her overall strength catches up with her swing. Lefty Alexah Grossman is the epitome of the team mascot she plays for: the Beverly Bandits. She not only plays hard but also has a great softball IQ in the field, and she demands stolen bases and takes them seemingly anytime she chooses, without fear. Due to her recent focus on slapping, Grossman continues to elevate herself as an offensive threat. In addition to slapping, she is constantly putting the ball in play and turning routine grounders into base hits by forcing fielders to make rushed throws. Kennedy Bilkie is truly emerging as a complete dual-threat standout, dominating the game from the circle and the plate. While her fastball is currently topping out at 55 mph, she has an arsenal of pitches at her disposal to expand the zone and keep opposing hitters on their toes. Bilkie has shown a preference for crowding the plate to bait opposing teams into pitching her inside, which is a big mistake. Her hands are violent through the zone, and she does an excellent job of getting her lower half involved in her swing, allowing her to swing through extension even on inside pitches. With her consistent physicality at the plate and deep drives to both gaps, Bilkie is a definite game-changer. Riley Duplessis has a great eye at the plate and is an extremely difficult out, making her an excellent leadoff candidate for her Indiana Magic Gold team. Riley's athleticism in the field translates offensively when she's making opposing pitchers work, is absolutely relentless in a full-count situation with an expansive zone, and is a great leader, doing whatever she can to move her teammates into scoring position. While her IMG team may be young, they're elite, hungry for success, and there's no doubt Duplessis will be setting the tempo on the field this fall.
