2030 Pitchers Poised To Make An Impact This Fall

In the circle, Oberg works with a six-pitch arsenal that includes a fastball, dropball, rise ball, curveball, screwball, and changeup. During the summer, she logged 47 innings, recording 41 strikeouts and allowing just 16 walks, demonstrating her ability to attack hitters and limit free passes. Oberg's impact extends well beyond the circle. She is also a strong hitter and capable outfielder, making her a valuable athlete on both sides of the ball. This summer, she posted an impressive .463 batting average with a home run while striking out just once. Fayant is coming off a successful summer in which she helped her former team capture a championship at the Triple Crown Midwest Summer Nationals in Kansas City. Her ability to contribute on both sides of the ball makes her especially valuable, as she is an effective presence in the circle and provides consistent offensive production. Fayant brings more than athletic ability to the field. Accustomed to throwing multiple innings throughout a tournament weekend, Hoge has proven she can handle extended outings while continuing to keep opposing offenses in check. She consistently holds opponents to a low batting average and has demonstrated an ability to generate high strikeout numbers, making her a tough matchup in the circle. Hoge is also a legitimate two-way threat. At the plate, she has the ability to hit for both power and average, giving her another way to impact the game when she is not pitching. At the DC Elite Stars Over Mississippi Showcase, McDowell threw 11 innings and collected 13 strikeouts while posting a 1.27 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, and holding opponents to a .250 batting average. That performance followed an even more dominant showing at the Stars Over Alabama tournament. Across 12 innings, McDowell struck out 18 hitters without allowing an earned run, finishing the tournament with a 0.00 ERA and 1.25 WHIP while limiting opposing hitters to just a .146 batting average. In addition to her work in the circle, Newsome plays outfield and is a slapper. Newsome helped her team earn a runner-up finish at the AFON Open Nationals, gaining valuable experience competing in a high-level championship environment. She has also been active on the college camp circuit as she continues to develop her game and gain exposure. Offensively, Newsome's speed is one of her biggest weapons. She is incredibly quick on the bases and understands how to use that speed to put constant pressure on opposing defenses. Playing travel ball with Stars National Coleman, Dudek enters the fall with an impressive combination of velocity, strikeout ability, and offensive power. During the South Wake Fastpitch Summer League, Dudek threw 27 innings and recorded 41 strikeouts while holding opposing hitters to a .198 batting average. She added another milestone in July when she reached a new pitching PR of 63 mph, giving her an impressive velocity benchmark as she continues to develop in the circle. As strong as her pitching numbers are, Dudek's offensive production may be equally impressive. She finished the summer hitting .500 with a 1.000 slugging percentage and .708 on-base percentage.
