2028 Prospects With Power Four Potential

With September 1 nearly here, the time that members of the class of 2028 have been waiting for has finally come. Several top prospects in the class will soon hear from Division I softball coaches, as their dreams of playing college softball become one step closer.   Below, Prep Softball highlights five talented prospects from the high school graduating class of 2028 who have Power Four potential.    Anna Jane Jarzab, a 2026 PGF national champion with Beverly Bandits 16U Lewis/Moran, is poised to hear from several Division I softball coaches on September 1. The Hickory High School student-athlete, who has a 4.0 GPA in the classroom, stands at 5'8" and is the full package in the circle as a right-handed pitcher and utility player. Her Rapsodo RPM personal-best marks are as follows: RS 2300 and CRV 2291. She is likely to become a D1 standout someday soon and has the potential to be a household name in softball in the future.     Though she may fly under the radar on September 1, Dakota Gaball is a 2028 star in the making. The Dixon High School and 18U Universal Bay Area Tatro standout plays the corner positions at an elite level and can also help her teams as a right-handed pitcher. Batting and throwing right-handed, Gaball has a big bat and can drive the ball a long way. She has attended camps and clinics with multiple Division I programs, and also holds a 4.33 GPA in the classroom.     Annastyn Moye from Alabama brings a ton of talent to the right side of the infield. The Alabama native, who plays high school ball for Orange Beach and club ball for Hotshots National 16U Cuyos, can play both second base and first base at a high level. Standing at an athletic 5'6", Moye bats from the left side and throws with her right hand. She helped her Hotshots squad to a fifth-place finish at this year's PGF Platinum Nationals, and also holds a 4.4 GPA in the classroom.     Kaylee Cardoza from California is full of power and potential in the 2028 class. The Chino High School standout is a multi-sport athlete who also competes at a high level in flag football. Cardoza, who primarily plays third base, plays on the club circuit for Beverly Bandits Komara 16U Premier. She should receive plenty of love from D1 coaches on September 1, as her skill set is likely to translate extremely well to the next level.     Teuuaina Sanchez is another California native in the 2028 class who college coaches are likely to be excited about. Sanchez, who plays for Corona Centennial High School and Corona Angels Tyson/Slye 16U, holds down the left side of the infield at an elite level. The 5'9" shortstop and third baseman can hit for both power and average at the plate, while being able to send the ball a long way. She also holds a 4.0 GPA in the classroom and has attended several D1 camps and clinics throughout her recruiting process, while also putting in a ton of work off the field in private lessons.
