2031 Prospects Who Compete Until The Final Out

Every great softball player knows that a game is never over and comeback hopes are never dashed until the final out is recorded. Consistency in key moments matters, and players from the class of 2031 are beginning to develop that level-headed approach to performance.   Below, Prep Softball highlights five players from the high school graduating class of 2031 who compete until the final out.    Piper Romaniello excelled at the plate, traveling across the country on a tough summer schedule with the Rhode Island Thunder, including playing up in an 18U tournament. Across her 2026 club season, Romaniello hit .480 while reaching base at a .568 clip and recording 155 put-outs in the field. At the Nightmare Classic in New Jersey, Romaniello recorded six hits in seven at-bats while also adding some sacrifice bunts to her repertoire. The young prospect now looks to the fall season to continue her development.     Kelsey Wilkens is a player who never lets the moment or situation get the best of her. When she attended an elite camp at Clemson this summer, Wilkens pitched two shutout innings, allowing just one hit and striking out three against fellow top prospects. During her club season, she was part of a Team Georgia squad that won three state championships, including a USSAA state title. She also received camp invites from Furman and Samford, as colleges are starting to take notice of her elite talent.     Leyla Martinez made sure her summer club season for the Indiana Magic ended strongly. During a stretch where she blasted her first career home run, Martinez hit .488 with a 1.422 OPS, making sure she gave her best for her team during a competitive stretch that included playing up an age division. Martinez attended camp at Marist in June, where she performed in front of college coaches and took another important step in her recruiting journey.     Whether she is getting reps on the diamond or taking advice from college coaches, Conlee Morrow is laser-focused on improving her game and reaching the next level. At the Triple Crown Sparkler, Morrow impressed onlookers with two home runs and a .526 batting average across 19 at-bats, showing off in front of tough competition. Over the summer, Morrow met with head and assistant coaches from Oklahoma State, LSU, Auburn, and Texas Tech as she prepares for what comes next. Morrow will play with the Oklahoma Athletics 14U National team starting this fall as she continues to test herself.     A two-way player with pop in her bat, Avery Stringer has made key contributions to her Stars National team this year. At the plate in the USA Softball Virginia state championship, Stringer hit .529 with a 1.441 OPS and 13 runs batted in. The next week, Stringer proved her power was a problem for opposing pitchers with a grand slam. She recently attended camp at Elon, James Madison, and Virginia, with coaches taking note of her skill set. Opponents hate to see Stringer on the lineup card, no matter what position or role she plays for her club team.
