With the summer travel softball season now in the rearview mirror, several members of the class of 2029 have plenty to be proud of about their performances with their club teams.

Below, Prep Softball highlights five players from the high school class of 2029 who rose to every challenge this summer.

Baze Hogan battles at the plate, is a proven tough out, sticks to her strike zone, and wants to earn walks when the opportunities come. She's been a consistent offensive asset for her young Wichita Stars team. They battled this summer and improved with the help of Hogan's switch-hitting abilities, speed off the bunt, and ability to come through on clutch RBI opportunities. With Hogan's glove work, she's able to do some shifty fielding in the middle infield to help her defense win close plays at first or have a better chance at turning double plays.

The only thing hotter than the Georgia heat this summer was Mackenzie Fritsch at the plate. She is rapidly developing her slugging power and showcasing her ability to access any part of the field. With her exceptional speed, Mack can either take advantage of the defense or cut off an opponent's offense with her range on defense. While she didn't have her best offensive performance in KC following her team's dominating first-place finish in the “Show Me the Money” tournament, Fritsch quickly adjusted in Colorado by posting 14 RBIs, 15 runs, 4 doubles, 1 triple, and 1 home run.

After throwing a perfect game early this summer, Caroline Sarnowski wasn't satisfied; her 14U team moved up to play in a couple of 16U and 18U tournaments, where she dominated in the circle. Using a combination of her two-seam fastball, screwball, rise, and changeup that falls off the edge of the Earth, Sarnowski had only a combined 9 hits in 23 innings of work with 42 strikeouts. She's able to keep batters guessing by elevating her riseball, then rotating between speed and spin inside and outside. This summer, Sarnowski took advantage of her plate opportunities, elevating the ball to the left- and right-field gaps, which also led to RBI opportunities for her team.

Though her summer season is complete, Page White isn't going anywhere. She's making her name known and forcing defenses to play her differently due to her speed on the basepaths, as she is essentially forcing “long singles” into doubles with pure hustle. While maintaining her hand speed inside the batter's box, White is also adjusting quickly to higher strike zone pitches without dropping her hands and popping up. With the success she had throwing runners out this summer, it should certainly make even the top baserunners think twice about stealing on her. White's command, speed, and defensive IQ are really what stand out about her behind the plate.

This kid is fearless when attacking the strike zone, and when you invest in yourself and spend time outside of practice working on every pitch, your confidence shows. Maria Jones has a significant speed difference between her fastball and changeup, making it a guessing game off those two pitches alone. From there, she also has a rise ball and a newly developed drop ball in her arsenal. Jones also fields the pitcher position athletically, and while with more limited opportunities, she has shown she can be a contributor at the plate as well.

With the summer travel softball season now in the rearview mirror, several members of the class of 2029 have plenty to be proud of about their performances with their club teams.
