10 Underrated 2029 Prospects To Watch This Summer

In softball, it's usually the big-name players on the big-name travel teams who get all the shine during the recruiting seasons. But in the 2029 class, there are several players who are a bit more underrated than others who should not be overlooked by college coaches this summer.   Below, Prep Softball highlights 10 underrated prospects from the high school graduating class of 2029 who should be watched this summer.    Regan Knight, who plays for Barneveld in Wisconsin, is an aggressive player who competes like a champ and takes pride in her ability to hit for contact, while consistently putting pressure on defenses with her quality at-bats and fearless approach to the game. Her versatility allows her to succeed as a catcher, middle infielder, and outfielder, as she can play multiple positions on the diamond with ease. She is known as a coachable player who is always looking to improve her game, giving her a bright future ahead.     Emily Else is a versatile player in the 2029 class who plays for Omaha Marian in Nebraska. She contributes to her teams behind the plate and in the middle infield at both shortstop and second base. Else plays travel ball for NE Gold 16U Vance, and has become the type of defender who her teams can count on. She exudes the type of confidence and consistency that top players possess, and she will do whatever it takes to help her teams succeed, making her a valuable member of her squads for myriad reasons.     Da'Miya Sherrod impacts the outcome of games for her teams both from the pitcher's circle and in the infield. Hailing from Indiana, she plays for IN Firecrackers 2011 Kenworthy as well as Knox Community High School. She gives her teams a dependable presence no matter where she is positioned on the field. She also shines in the classroom with a 4.03 GPA and as a member of the NJHS, showing that she is multi-dimensional as a person beyond the softball field.     Lilianna Cadena is a top 2029 prospect from Odessa, Texas who contributes to her team mostly in the outfield, but also as a catcher and shortstop. She is versatile and confident, giving her coaches multiple options when they are putting together their lineup. She covers a ton of ground defensively, and is an all-around leader on the diamond who has the potential to do big things as her high school softball and recruiting journey continue.     Brynlee Torres is an impactful 2029 player from Colorado Springs for Colorado Batbusters 14U National Smith. As a pitcher and first baseman, she gets it done for her team from multiple spots on the diamond, and brings athleticism and a solid understanding of the game with her to those positions. She is a competitive athlete who wants to win each time she steps on the field, and she exhibits a strong foundation and ability to compete at a high level, which will set her up for further success in the game in the future.     Giana Lanciloti is a rising 2029 prospect from Strikes Premier and York Community High School in Illinois. A left-handed pitcher, center fielder, and first baseman, she is incredibly athletic with skills that help her teams in multiple ways during games. Lanciloti is also a multi-sport athlete, which adds even more intrigue to her developing profile, showing that she has a proven history of competing at a high level across several fields of competition.     Evelyn Chan from California is a talented two-way player who competes for NorCal Legends Espinoza/Barrioz Gold and Homestead High School. A right-handed pitcher who also gets it done for her teams in the outfield, Chan is an excellent option for her squads to have at multiple positions on the field. She also performs at a high level in the classroom, as she possesses a 4.0 GPA and has the discipline and work ethic to succeed as both a softball player and student.     Annabella Olobri from Rhode Island is a top athlete in her class who makes a significant impact behind the plate and out in center field. She plays for NE Unity 16U and Cranston West High School, and uses her leadership skills and natural talent to help her squads on both offense and defense. She carries a 4.15 GPA in the classroom and earned 2026 14U Region 1 All-American honors, giving her similar accolades as other top players in her class from around the country.     Londyn Parks is a multi-position athlete from Georgia in the 2029 class. She possesses serious strength and athleticism that help her succeed as a shortstop, third baseman and right-handed pitcher. She carries a 3.8 GPA in the classroom, showing that she has the discipline and work ethic to succeed at everything she does. Parks appears to have a bright future ahead of her both on and off the field.     Amar'e Moore is a promising prospect in her class out of Tennessee. Playing for both Fury Platinum X Higdon-Helton 14U and Oakland High School, Moore has shown that she can compete against top-level competition and still have success. She was invited to the 2025 USA HPP National Selection event, and has a strong foundation to build off of in the months and years ahead.
