Five 2029 Pitchers Shining This High School Season

This season's Sharks, in large part thanks to Keyah Kamara, are continuing their winning ways to the tune of an undefeated start to the 2026 campaign. Kamara has made seven appearances thus far this season and is 5-0 with an ERA of 0.50 in those appearances. She has pitched in 42 innings thus far, and has only allowed three earned runs and 11 walks to 90 strikeouts. The Cowgirls improved from 12 wins two years ago to 20 last season, and are off to an 8-1 start this season. Hattie Macumber has been a significant catalyst to Willcox's impressive start to the campaign. In addition to being a right-handed pitcher, Macumber is also a utility player and multi-sport athlete who excels at volleyball alongside her softball achievements. So far, Macumber has won eight games and posted an ERA of 0.79 in the circle. Christopherson has made 11 appearances along with posting an ERA of 0.67. In the 62.1 innings she has pitched, she has only allowed six earned runs to 27 walks, and has struck out over 100 batters. She has already amassed plenty of accolades throughout her playing career, including being a two-time USA Softball All-American. It took place at Danville, where the Blue Devils earned a 10-7 victory. Herron fanned 14 batters, all while receiving stellar run support from her squad. That win was a microcosm of the success Herron has encountered throughout her playing career to date. She played her first season at the varsity level as a seventh grader. Herron went 14-6 last season as an eighth grader. This season, she has made 10 appearances with an ERA of 3.59. Ella Nelms has been a key catalyst for Robbinsville's continued success this season. A six-foot freshman who also plays in the outfield, Nelms has amassed a 6-0 record in the circle, which has included a pair of complete games. She had yet to allow an earned run this year as of this writing, and the Black Knights had yet to allow any runs this season to date. Nelms only allowed four walks and six hits in 29 innings of work, while also striking out 61 hitters.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
