Alexis Smeals sports a four-pitch arsenal for RI Thunder and is quickly becoming a name to watch in the 2030 class. She struck out 69 opposing batters in 51 innings pitched during the fall season, earning six wins for her team. At her young age, she can routinely hit 65 miles per hour in games. Opponents hit .254 against the right-handed pitcher, who took on some of the best teams in the country while playing for RI Thunder. She attended a clinic at Boston University earlier in January and has gotten attention from other programs nationwide. Smeals was also a USA Softball All-American at the 12U level in 2025. She is certainly a player to watch in 2026 and beyond.

Ava Lucas led NE Unity to wins both in the circle and at the plate in 2025. At the RI Thunder Fall Tune-Up in October, Lucas pitched in nine games, collecting 19 strikeouts across 17.2 innings of work in the circle. She also made an impact at the plate with a triple. She started her fall season at Northern Exposure with a 0.67 ERA and a walk-off triple. During the offseason, Lucas attended camps at Boston University and Central Connecticut. The pitcher has plenty of momentum going into 2026 and is ready to keep impressing.

A strong defensive catcher who also has pop in her bat, Camdyn Speck is a standout performer in Rhode Island's 2030 class. Speck spent time playing up with the 18U Bombers Elite team, including helping them to a 7-0 performance at the East Coast Fall Showcase. In the final game of the fall season back with her 14U team, Speck's two-RBI single gave Bombers Elite key runs to fend off Blackstone Valley Venom. Speck was a 2025 USA Softball All-American at the 12U level where she caught for top pitchers in New England. She is likely to continue making a big mark at a national level in the months and years to come.
