Offensively, Scott has been impressive, posting a batting average of .481 with 37 hits in 77 at-bats this fall, along with eight home runs and 45 RBIs as her team's third batter in its lineup. Her Team Hustle Matuz/LaDrigue squad competes at both the 16U and 18U levels locally, and at 14U during club tournaments. The team has already secured its spot at the PGF Premier Nationals. Morgan Gust is a confident contact hitter and one of the hardest-working players on the Athletics Mercado AZ Hess team, especially after overcoming an injury. She is a true utility player who brings hustle and consistency to every position she plays, whether that's in the pitching circle or at second base. Gust had an impressive fall season, hitting .529 in 28 games, while also pitching 29 innings. She recorded a 3.30 ERA, 23 strikeouts, and only nine walks. An outstanding student with a 4.0 GPA, Gust is also an active member of her school's yearbook club. Defensively, her strong arm has thrown out a runner in every game this season from behind the plate.
