2027 Prospects Who Impressed At PGF Early Thanksgiving Showcase

The 2027 class performed impressively at this year's <a href="https://live.surfcitytourneys.com/sam/bundles/ltd/server/index.php?regEventId=MTQzNzE3MQ%3D%3D" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">PGF Early Thanksgiving Showcase</a>. They demonstrated exceptional pitching, timely hitting, and outstanding defense. These athletes were eager to showcase their skills and passion for the game to numerous collegiate coaches from across the country, and they certainly succeeded.   Below, we highlight some of the top performers from the 2027 class who made a significant impact at the showcase and proved they deserve to be among the top players recruited in their class.    Kassidy King is an outstanding pitcher for the Breakers Labs team. During the PGF showcase, she delivered impressive performances across three games. In 8 innings of work, she recorded 15 strikeouts, allowed only 2 hits, and gave up 2 earned runs and 2 walks. Her remarkable power in the circle makes her a notable pitcher for the showcase and within her age group.     Paige Visser demonstrated her pitching dominance while playing for the Beverly Bandits Moran/Lewis team. She pitched 13.2 innings in three games, securing two wins with an impressive ERA of 1.02. She allowed only 2 earned runs and 10 hits while striking out 10 batters. Although she issued 8 walks, her control and effective drop ball made her a vital contributor to the Beverly Bandits and established her as a top-tier pitcher in her class.     Jasmyn White excelled in the leadoff position this weekend, hitting an impressive .364. She showcased her speed with four stolen bases and scored six runs. Additionally, she demonstrated both speed and power by hitting a triple. Defensively, she played an elite shortstop, exhibiting excellent glove work. Overall, she is a well-rounded player who contributes significantly to UNITY's success.     During the showcase, Izzy Cino was a force at the plate, achieving a remarkable .600 batting average, a standout 1.500 OPS, and a .929 slugging percentage. She recorded 2 doubles, 1 home run, and drove in 8 runs, while also showcasing her speed. On the bases, she successfully stole 6 bases out of 6 attempts and scored 6 runs. Cino proved to be a significant offensive threat throughout the weekend.     Lyla Hollingsworth had an outstanding performance at PGF over the weekend. She achieved a batting average of .600, an OPS of 1.492, and a slugging percentage of .867. Hollingsworth collected 9 hits, including 7 singles, 1 double, and 1 home run. She drove in 3 runs and scored 8 times. Defensively, she was flawless, handling 8 opportunities with a perfect fielding percentage of 1.000. Lyla consistently demonstrated her skills throughout the weekend and is definitely a player to watch in her class.     Susanna Khalatyan had an impressive performance at the plate, finishing the weekend with a batting average of .692, a slugging percentage of 1.154, and an on-base percentage of .692. She recorded a total of 9 hits, which included 4 doubles and a triple, while also driving in 3 runs and scoring 6 runs. Khalatyan is a key Sorcerer 16 Gold T/K player, making her someone college coaches will want in their lineups.     Charlize Massingale delivered an outstanding performance at the showcase, both offensively and defensively. She collected 9 hits in 13 at-bats, including two home runs, two doubles, and 7 RBIs. Behind the plate, she displayed elite skills and showcased her arm strength by throwing out three runners. As a dual-threat player, she is one to watch for the future.     Kamea Torres came up clutch for the California Breeze, hitting .556 with an impressive 1.000 slugging percentage and a .692 on-base percentage. She recorded 5 hits, including 4 doubles, and drove in 10 runs. Additionally, she scored 2 runs. Torres was the player you wanted at the plate with runners in scoring position at the showcase.     Samantha Olson was a standout player at the plate, with a weekend batting average of .556, an impressive on-base percentage of .889, and a slugging percentage of .636. She scored 7 runs and recorded 5 hits, including 3 doubles, while also driving in 5 runs. Additionally, she stole 1 base, making her a consistent presence for the Athletics Mercado Gonzalez team.     Miyani "YaYa" Marshall came prepared to play at the showcase. She achieved an impressive batting average of .455 and posted a remarkable OPS of 1.273. Marshall demonstrated her power by hitting 1 double and 1 home run, driving in 5 runs, and significantly contributing to UNITY's overall offense output. Her ability to hit for power and deliver timely hits makes her a standout player to watch.
