This summer has given 2030 prospects plenty of chances to make an impression, and these freshmen-to-be have done exactly that. They've put together strong performances, shown steady growth, and found different ways to help their teams compete.

As they get ready to begin their high school careers, they're already proving they're names to know.

Below, Prep Softball highlights five freshmen-to-be from the class of 2030 who are impressing on the field this summer.

Emma Wertz didn't shy away from a challenge this summer. The 2030 center fielder played up in the 18U division at Triple Crown IDT in Colorado. She put the ball in play against Division I–committed pitchers and showed she could compete at a high level. She recently added slapping to her game, and her elite speed has already made her a tough out at the plate. In center field, that same speed allows her to cover plenty of ground, highlighted by a home run robbery during tournament play. Playing up against older competition and succeeding only added to an impressive summer for Emma Wertz.

Lillie Taylor has spent the summer proving she can compete against older talent. The 2030 Team NC Taylor standout is the youngest player on both her travel team and the five-time defending state champion High Point Christian Academy roster, yet she continues to earn opportunities because of her versatility and steady play. Taylor can contribute at nearly every position on the field, giving her coaches the flexibility to move her wherever she's needed. At the plate, she has continued to grow into a reliable hitter. For a player entering her freshman year, Lillie Taylor has already shown she can handle challenges well beyond her age.

Jordyn Sanchez has impressed this summer with the way she's filled whatever role her team has needed. The Texas Blaze United standout has played nearly every position on the field while continuing to produce at the plate. She is hitting .500 with a .651 on-base percentage, 15 hits, 10 walks, and just five strikeouts. She also leads by example, bringing strong communication, a team-first mindset, and a steady work ethic every time she takes the field. Away from softball, Sanchez is a member of the National Junior Honor Society, carrying that same commitment into the classroom. Jordyn Sanchez is another 2030 to keep an eye on as she enters high school.

Carlie Whitted brings versatility to every game she plays in. The 2030 LLG Futures 14U standout can make an impact with her bat, speed, and defense, giving her team plenty of options. Whether she's making plays in the infield with quick reactions or tracking down balls in the gaps from the outfield, Whitted shows a strong arm and a steady glove wherever she's needed. At the plate, she can hit for average, drive the ball with power, and consistently get on base. She doesn't make many mistakes on the field, and her ability to contribute in so many different roles makes her a player her coaches can count on.

Kamiryn Ibanez has made a strong impression this summer with her play in center field and at the top of the lineup. The Texas Blaze United 14U standout covers plenty of ground in center field, tracking down balls in the gaps and using her strong arm to keep runners from taking extra bases. At the plate, Ibanez is a slapper who knows how to put pressure on a defense, hitting .462 with a .517 on-base percentage this summer. Once she reaches base, her speed gives her another way to impact games. She also played error-free defense, finishing the summer with a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage. Few players can impact a game the way Kamiryn Ibanez does.

This summer has given 2030 prospects plenty of chances to make an impression, and these freshmen-to-be have done exactly that. They've put together strong performances, shown steady growth, and found different ways to help their teams compete.
