Expert Analysis
Lathan Sepeda | Prep Softball Scout
Willa Porterfield is making plenty of noise with a powerful right arm that has reportedly reached 68 mph in the circle. From my coaching perspective, her combination of velocity, movement, and presence as a right-handed pitcher gives her a chance to become a high-level pitching prospect. She also brings power to the plate and has delivered in big moments for her squads. With USA Softball HPP experience already on her resume, Porterfield is a 2029 name that college coaches should know.
