About Sofia

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Defense - reads ball well with a great first jump and likes to throw runners out from outfield. Offense - power hitter from left side of the plate that can also slap.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Team first mentality and I Pride myself in letting game come to me and understanding the importance of being mentally prepared for any situation. Promotes and encourages teammates to be positive and stay within themselves and in the game.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Extra innings all region (southwest) class of 2028. AP and Honors classes; volunteer work at senior living facility;

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I understand the importance of being a great teammate who can lead and pick up energy when needed. I also understand that I am a student first and so academics is very important to me and as much as I am blessed; I love giving back to my community through church volunteer work or with seniors at independent living and retirement homes.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

The loss of my grandmother and grandfather whom I was extremely close with and loved to watch me play. I know that time on this earth is not guaranteed and play in their honor and memory.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am very interested in playing for a high academic college that focuses on pushing students to compete academically but also on the field.
