About Sarah

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I have been playing softball since I was 8 years old. I have been taking pitching lessons for the past 7 years and hitting lessons for the past 6 years. I am a team player and like to encourage my teammates when they are on/off the field. I get excited on the mound when I have dug out of a 3-2 count and get the strike-out.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have worked hard over the years to have a straight face while I am pitching and do what I have to do to be neutral during bad calls. I definitely get excited for the strike-outs or the good plays by teammates.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

FCCLA (Family, Career, Community Leaders of America) - 3 years Chalmers Community Church Youth Group Academic Awards

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

3 year member of FCCLA ( Family, Career, Community Leaders of America) Annual mission trip to Hendersonville, Tennessee at Soles for Souls Volunteer in the community for events such as Trunk or Treat, Winter Carnival and Fire Department Pancake Breakfast

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I had a non-sport injury to my pitching elbow in September 2024 and it took 3 months for recovery. This was difficult for me because I was not able to play or work on my pitching. During my recovery I went to physcial therapy and also continued my strength and conditioning on a modified plan. I still attended practices and tournaments to encourage my team.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am open to Junior College, NAIA, D1, D2, D3. I just want to be able to play at the next level at a place that I can utilize my talents to help make the program successful.
