When it comes to dominance in limited opportunities, Payton Tamborra has been nearly untouchable this summer. The young righthander delivered two statement performances on major stages, proving she can handle the pressure and thrive in it. At the Show Me The Money Tournament, Tamborra was lights out. She pitched in four of her team’s five games, earning two wins and tossing six innings without surrendering a single earned run. She struck out eight, allowed just one hit, and held opposing hitters to a jaw-dropping .058 batting average, finishing the tournament with a 0.00 ERA. She followed that performance up with another masterclass at the Birmingham Bolts Invitational, where she threw eight more innings, recorded nine strikeouts, and once again allowed only one hit, lowering her opponents’ average to a microscopic .045. With impeccable command, quiet confidence, and the ability to shut down high-powered lineups, Tamborra has emerged as one of the most efficient and effective young aces on the club softball circuit.
