Few players across the country made as explosive a leap between their freshman and sophomore seasons as Parker Malone, who hit four home runs as a freshman before crushing 23 long balls this past spring. She also hit .626, drove in 87 runs and scored 67 in 35 games, and walked more than twice as often as she struck out to finish with an OPS of 2.240. Her nice, easy swing makes her power look almost effortless, and she is comfortable playing both middle infield spots and in the outfield.
