About Olive

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a hardworking softball player. I am very passionate about pitching and playing at the next level. My favorite pitches to throw are my curveball and change up.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I love playing with my teammates and learning from my coaches. I want to play at a collegiate level. I am always working hard every day to improve my pitching.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Currently, I play for NorCal Legends 16u Gold. I am a pitcher on the team, but I can also hit and play outfield. I am also a straight A student and have received principal list every year.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Over time after playing softball since I was six I have learned how to become a leader and help other girls. I also learned to use teamwork when playing softball as well. Outside of softball I spend my time volunteering and doing community service.

Olive Burke Olive Burke Olive Burke RHP/OF Gilroy | 2029 CA is a two-way player who imparts all kinds of spin on her pitches, throwing a rise ball, fastball, curveball and changeup. She can generate whiffs and leave batters frozen by dotting the edges of the strike zone. At the plate, Burke stays within herself, going with the pitch rather than trying to do too much. At a tournament in Modesto on Sept. 7, Burke had a 13-strikeout game in six scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and no walks. She has a smooth and easy delivery with good mechanics and also takes her academics seriously, carrying a 4.0 GPA.
