About Natalie
Expert Analysis
Benjamin Rosenberg | Prep Softball Scout
A slapper through and through, Natalie Musser hit .440 this past spring, with just three of her 40 hits going for extra bases. She still reached base in more than half of her plate appearances and pushed her OPS just above 1.000 while stealing 30 bases in 25 games, already setting an all-time school record. Even a seemingly routine infield grounder becomes a bang-bang play when Musser is hustling down the first-base line. When defenses overplay the slap, Musser can hit the ball hard on the ground through the vacated holes. She can also hit away, especially with runners in scoring position, and her speed often forces the defense into making errors. Musser has been busy on the camp circuit, visiting UCF, North Carolina, Indiana, Northwestern, Duke and many more.
