About Natalie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style is to play to win and aggressive, I go up to the plate to hit the ball. I run onto the field into the catcher spot ready to encourage my pitcher and lead my teammates. This game is fun and I enjoy being on the field.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am the first person to offer encouragement and cheer for my teammates. We are competing and it should be a positive environment for everyone in the dugout. I like to make my teammates comfortable and feel supported first. My mentality is to train hard during the week, be uncomfortable at practice, and work to improve every day. Then when the weekend comes for tournaments, I am confident.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have been awarded student of the month by school's teachers and administration for being a good citizen and always willing to help others.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am currently in my schools' community leadership program. We learn about servant leadership and what it takes to be a leader in your community. I volunteer my time with Special Olympics and keep score at our local wrestling matches. I most recently completed a semester of peer tutoring for math.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I currently live over 5 hours away from my softball travel team. I have to train and develop on my own a lot of the time. This requires me to plan my day and week in advance. I have to make time to complete my homework, chores, and get practice time in everyday.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want a positive environment where I can learn, grow, and meet new people.
