About Megan

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play the game with heart and passion. My game is built on speed and power at the plate. In the field I do what ever is needed for my team to win. On the mound I love the battle vs the hitter.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a very focused person. I am very focused on whatever I’m doing. I like to laugh, travel and hang out with my friends.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am in student government, student counsel, kutz for kids, connection club, national honor society and Spanish club.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I feel that I have leadership skills because as a freshman I was able to get the majority of my varsity basketball and softball team to join me in the weight room. Doing that has helped strengthen our bond. I also feel that I grew as a teammate because I didn’t play much for varsity basketball but I was always cheering my teammates on.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I struggled the first couple weeks on varsity softball. I was not used to failing and I struggled. So I did a lot of work after games and at home to get my confidence back. I also struggle pitching in the fall so I worked all winter on fixing my mechanics and overcome the mental issue I had.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college where I can feel at home and get a degree that will help me be successful. I want to go to a school where I can compete while playing softball. I love playing the game and want to continue that. The size of the school isn’t an issue for me. I just want to go somewhere that I enjoy.
