About McKenna

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Hard working and competitive. Playing 110% every time I play on the field.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I never give up no matter what challenges I face. I also understand what people go through and will never judge someone not knowing what they are going through. I’ll always be there to pick up my teammates.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am in NHS, key club, philanthropy and youth, hosa. I have lettered in academics for two years, and lettered in key club and pay for two years.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed leadership and how to really be a team member as my freshman year I was the oldest class on the team so I really had to step up and be a leader. I have also developed great sense of community and community service through pay and key club.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, developing a chronic illness. I have chronic back pain that had affected the way I play but I was able to overcome it majority with physical therapy and wearing a back brace when I play.

What type of college are you looking for?

Mainly I want a college that has a good science program. But softball related I want to find a college that has a great program, a great coach and a great community.
